Detailed approach

Environmental conservation is a core pillar at Pure Pearl Foundation. We actively engage women, girls, and youth in hands-on projects that restore Kenya’s coastal ecosystems while building environmental awareness and sustainable livelihoods.

Our flagship environmental initiatives include:

(i) Mangrove Restoration & Beach Cleanups (Ongoing) We coordinate regular mangrove reforestation and beach cleanup exercises. Participants from our Data Literacy Program collect real environmental data during these activities and analyse it in class.

(ii) Tree Planting Drives (Regular & Upcoming) Community-led tree planting events to combat deforestation and promote green spaces.

(iii) Sustainable Aquaculture (Seaweed Farming) Training women and youth in eco-friendly seaweed farming as both an income-generating activity and a tool for marine ecosystem protection.
