Every Girl Deservesa Classroom
We pay fees, equip classrooms and train teachers in 40 schools across Mombasa, Kilifi and Kwale. Most of our scholars are the first girl in their family to reach Form 4.

The Barriers She Faces
Early marriage takes girls out of school in Kilifi and Kwale before they sit their exams
Girls are the majority of out-of-school children in the coastal counties
Schools without separate, private toilets lose girls for several days each month
Hours spent fetching water leave no time for homework or revision
When money is short, families pay fees for a son before a daughter

“A girl who finishes school changes what is possible for her whole household.”
How We’re Closing the Gap
Four programmes that follow a girl from her first classroom to her first qualification.

“The scholarship covered my fees from Form 1 to Form 4, and the holiday tuition is what got me through the sciences. I am in my second year of a nursing diploma, the first in my family past secondary school.”
